E-learning courses from the Public Health Foundation of India

Emerging Leaders faculty member and Director of the Public Health Foundation of India  (PHFI) has shared with us two e-learning courses that may be of interest to Emerging Leaders and others: a certificate course on tobacco control and a post-graduate diploma in health promotion.

 

Certificate Course on Tobacco Control (CCTC)

This course aims to build capacity of participants to improve their knowledge and understanding of tobacco control strategies, best practices, research and tobacco cessation skills and also to enhance their skills and proficiency in designing and implementing tobacco control programmes.

DURATION: 3 Months
PROGRAM FEE: 10000 INR (Indian candidates), 250 USD (South Asian candidates), 300 USD (other international candidates)

Post Graduate Diploma in Health promotion (PGDHP)

This programme aims to strengthen the capacity of the participants to enhance the understanding of health promotion and enhance their skills and proficiency in designing and implementation of public health and health promotion programs. The course includes an introduction to basic public health skills, including statistics and epidemiology, and provides in-depth knowledge of health promotion theories and models as well as on designing, implementing and evaluating health promotion programmes in India. It also offers specialization in any one of these elective modules: Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A); Prevention and Control of Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs); Tobacco Control and; Oral Health.

DURATION: 1 Year

PROGRAM FEE: 36000 INR (Indian candidates), 600 USD (South Asian candidates), 1200 USD (other international candidates)
