World Heart Grants 2023

Our World Heart Grants support our Members’ efforts to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease in their communities, reduce its burden and impact, and help people everywhere live longer, healthier lives.

We are delighted to launch a new round of World Heart Grants, available exclusively to WHF Members.

We are looking for projects that have well-defined timelines and outcomes and that reflect our mission to connect and lead the cardiovascular community, translate science into policy, and stimulate and catalyse the exchange of knowledge and information.

We are seeking projects that can be implemented under the following categories.

Activities aiming at celebrating World Heart Day 2023: media campaigns, fundraising events, awareness events and activities such as concerts, sporting events, and marathon runs.

Criteria

The applicant must clearly state the intended impact of their proposal. Depending on the nature of the project, impact may be measured by numbers of people included in or benefitting from the activity, pre- and post-activity measures of changes in knowledge/attitudes/awareness, or adaptation to the current situation.

Clear, focused, measurable objectives that can be achieved in the short term with a detailed timeline.

Sustainability of the impact evidenced by viable opportunities to use the activity (patient education materials, translations, workshops) for future initiatives.

Grant application: The grantee organization cannot apply for different WHF grants with the same proposal.

Association with other organizations: The grantee organization may team up with other stakeholder groups to carry out the project. Nevertheless, the recipient organization is the main responsible for leading and delivering the proposed activities.
